Designing a Custom Sympathy Card

07/28/2010 By Phyllis Orzalli

When I began designing this custom sympathy card I had simplicity in mind. Using watercolor to paint the lilies on an 12″x14″ paper I had to scan the painting into the computer and sized it down to fit on a 5×7 card and added a narrow border.

I feel that this card would be a perfect sympathy card with it’s peaceful, soft color palette and simplistic arrangement. It is hard to know what to say when someone is mourning, so I felt it important to add a few words to the card instead of leaving it blank.
