Case Study – Brand Identity
Problem: Rachel, owner of Art in Bloom wanted to create a new look for her brand that would be consistent through out all her marketing efforts. She had a couple of different looks that she had put together but they were very different from one another.
Rachel liked the green and brown but beyond that she was looking for a contemporary, fun, elegant, and artsy look. She wanted a couple of different business cards; one for her younger bridal market and one for everything else. She needed a direct mailing piece, stationary and a sticker for applying to floral ribbons, etc.
Solution: Adding the word “flowers” to her name, now gave the opportunity to have a more description title. We kept the green and brown colors but added a third coral color which enabled us to create some separation and definition to the name and over all look. A fun modern illustration was added to the modern but readable script for the words Art and Bloom and a modern sans serif font is used for the words In and Flowers.
Results: She really connected with the modern swirl/leaf design and it translated well into a water mark on different pieces. The script used in the title is fun and modern and what she was looking for. The floral illustration adds an innovative look that her floral arrangements are know. The two business cards were separated by the photos used on the front. One speaks to the youthful bride and the other to clients ordering floral arrangements for Mother’s Day. They share the same back.
Consistency is so important for creating confidence with your customers/clients. It shows that you care about your business thus caring about your product/service. It is also a good idea to be current with the cultural times and what the popular colors and style are.
”Phyllis is a wonderful professional who helped my business with a sound structural program for branding. Her calm demeanor and patient attitude along with her creative knowledge made the experience enjoyable. She is a delight to work with.” ~ Rachel Eakins, owner of Art in Bloom Flowers
